How many drops of essential oil? Drops, millilitres and dilution percentages

This calculator assumes about 20 drops to a millilitre, so 10 ml holds about 200 drops, 2 ml about 40 drops and 120 drops is 6 ml. Enter a carrier volume and a dilution percentage to get the total drop count and the drops each oil needs.

Drops, millilitres and percentages

Every number on this page assumes 20 drops to one millilitre: 1 ml = 20 drops and 1 drop = 0.05 ml. Drop size varies with the oil's viscosity and the dropper, so treat the count as a working reference, not a measurement.

How many millilitres is 120 drops?

Divide the drop count by 20: 120 ÷ 20 = 6 ml.

How many drops are in 10 ml of essential oil?

Multiply the volume by 20: 10 ml × 20 = 200 drops.

How many drops is a 2% blend in 30 ml?

Multiply the carrier volume by 20, then by the percentage: 30 ml × 20 × 2% = 12 drops.

In Aromemor, a saved blend keeps the dilution, the drop counts and the safety result together.

How to use it

  • Enter the carrier oil volume in millilitres.
  • Choose or type the target dilution percentage.
  • Set how many oils are in the blend.
  • Read the total drops and the drops per oil.
  • Copy the result into your own record if you need it.

Frequently asked questions

How many drops are in a millilitre?

This calculator uses the common approximation of about 20 drops to a millilitre. Actual drop size varies with the oil's viscosity and the dropper, so treat the result as a reference figure.

Does the calculator store what I type?

No. Everything is computed in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. Closing the tab leaves no record.

Can I use the result as it is?

Dilution is only one of the safety conditions. Age, skin type, application site, the individual ceiling of each oil and health background all still apply. The result is for reference only and is not professional medical advice.
